In the years 2008-2010 the Corpus Linguistics and Semantics Team [Polish: Zespół Lingwistyki Korpusowej i Semantyki], directed by prof. dr hab. Violetta Koseska-Toszewa participated in the 7th European framework project (FP7):
CONCEPTUAL MODELLING OF NETWORKING OF CENTRES FOR HIGH-QUALITY RESEARCH IN SLAVIC LEXICOGRAPHY AND THEIR DIGITAL RESOURCES (MONDILEX)
The main aim of the project was to establish a general framework of the research infrastructure supporting lexicographical research in the field of Slavic languages. The realisation of the project contributed to the coordination, unification and development of existing digital lexical resources and the creation of new resources, in accordance with world standards. The framework of the infrastructure which was created made the lexical resources of Slavic languages (e.g. electronic bi- and multilingual dictionaries) easily and generally accessible.
One of the premises of the MONDILEX project was to act for the cause of the preservation of the multilingualism and multiculturalism of Europe. The results of the participation in the project include five conferences, two monographs and a few dozen of articles.
Teams which each represented two Slavic languages from every group of Slavic languages (West Slavic group: Polish and Slovak, East Slavic group: Russian and Ukrainian, South Slavic: Bulgarian and Slovene) from the following countries participated in the MONDILEX project:
• Bulgaria (Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, BAS)
• Poland (Institute of Slavic Studies, PAS)
• Russia (Institute for Information Transmission Problems, RAS)
• Slovakia (L. Štúr Institute of Linguistics, SAS)
• Slovenia (Jožef Stefan Institute)
• Ukraine (Ukrainian Lingua-Information Fund of the NASU)
