“Acta Baltico-Slavica”, Vol. 49 (2025)

We invite submissions to volume 49 of Acta Baltico-Slavica, which will include texts devoted to the general idea of language and cultural contact as one of the main life strategies of the inhabitants of the countries of the Baltic Sea region. The issues in focus of the volume include both historical and current aspects of contacts regarding languages, folklore, religions, literature and identity. The volume is open to submissions analysing the strategies of linguistic and cultural survival of refugee communities formed as a result of the war in Ukraine. Another point of interest is the analysis of cultural and linguistic phenomena existing in parallel in several cultures or countries of the region.
