Adeptus is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal devoted to the critical study of Slavic cultures and languages, both past and present. It publishes material that contributes to a better understanding of contemporary Slavic cultures and is based on the anthropological and linguistic research, as well as translations of relevant texts in the field and interviews with distinguished scholars. Adeptus also publishes thematic special issues. The principal purpose of the journal is to encourage dialogue among young researchers interested in the subject matter addressed by Adeptus. Seeking contributions primarily from young academics makes Adeptus unique among other journals.

The journal is published in open access and is indexed in multiple databases, including: Emerging Sources Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics), European Reference Index for the Humanities Plus (ERIH Plus), CEEOL, DOAJ, EBSCO and ProQuest. Points awarded for publication according to the List of scholarly journals and peer-reviewed international conference materials, issued by the Ministry of Education and Science, Republic of Poland: 70.

„Adeptus” to interdyscyplinarne czasopismo naukowe, publikujące recenzowane artykuły poświęcone kluczowym zagadnieniom w badaniach nad kulturami i językami Słowian w przeszłości i obecnie. Publikujemy materiały sprzyjające zrozumieniu współczesnego stanu kultur słowiańskich, oparte na badaniach antropologicznych i językoznawczych, jak również przekłady i wywiady. „Adeptus” ukazuje się także w formie specjalnych numerów tematycznych. Podstawowym celem czasopisma jest zachęta do dialogu pomiędzy młodymi badaczami, zainteresowanymi tematami poruszanymi przez czasopismo. Publikowanie przede wszystkim prac młodych naukowców stanowi o wyjątkowości „Adeptusa”.

Czasopismo ukazuje się w otwartym dostępie. Jest indeksowane m.in. w Emerging Sources Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics), European Reference Index for the Humanities Plus (ERIH Plus), CEEOL, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), EBSCO i ProQuest. Liczba punktów przyznawanych za publikację w czasopiśmie zgodnie z Wykazem czasopism naukowych i recenzowanych materiałów z konferencji międzynarodowych Ministerstwa Edukacji i Nauki wynosi: 70.
