Душа как предмет этноконфессионального диалога (на материале народных религиозных верований)

Abstract

The soul as a topic of etnoconfessional dialog (on the base of national religious beliefs Every culture has its own set of tools that convey national characteristics. The universally precedent phenomenon of “two souls” is particularly significant in the artistic conception of the characters in the Belarusian prose of transitional epoch. “Two souls” presupposes duality of human nature; dialectic of good and evil, reason and feeling; mental peculiarity of Belarusian identity, its organic nature, including religion, social awareness of ambivalent reality, the contradiction between human and social, humanist and ideological aspects; an acknowledgement of traditional values in their complex combination with the internalization of new ones; type of conflict; symbolically very significant search of perfection and inner unity by a character, a neutral “territory” of resistance to dogmatic thinking; apology of cultural hero; split character. The concept of “two souls” is the artistic emblem of identity crisis and defines the peculiarities of time and space settings, color symbolism, character nominations, means of laugh culture in the works of M. Gorky , Z. Bedulya, M. Zaretsky, L. Kalyuga, etc. The conflict of day and “night” consciousness which marks the tragedy of the individual and testifies the misbalance of mental harmony as one of the symptoms of the social crisis is emphasized.

Душа как предмет этноконфессионального диалога (на материале народных религиозных верований) В докладе рассматриваются разные аспекты этноконфессионального диалога славян и евреев, для которого концепт души является во многом основополагающим. Комплекс представлений о наличии или отсутствии души у представителей иной конфессии, о материальном воплощении души и ее качествах, о месте души в системе традиционных культурных ценностей определяется этнокультурными стереотипами и наряду с ними подвергается трансформациям, оставаясь, тем не менее, базовым для формирования народно-религиозной картины мира. Доклад основан на материалах полевых исследований в регионах этнокультурных контактов славян и евреев в Восточной Европе.
