Abstract:
The work is devoted to the description of the derivational development of Anglicisms in the sphere of the interactive entertainment industry. The subject is the lexicon of the above-mentioned thematic group. The aim of the work is to analyze different types and ways of word formation, as well as word-forming nests. The language material was the interactive entertainment lexicon extracted from the magazine “Igromania”, Internet sources. The main method used in this work is the descriptive method; also contextual, comparative, semantic-stylistic, wordformative and component analyses. Theoretical significance of the research: this work contributes to the development of problems of lexicography, derivatology, grammar and naming theory. Practical significance: it is possible to use materials in studying university courses “Modern Russian Language”, in lexicographic practice, at Russian lessons at school and in extracurricular activities. The conducted research has shown that the most widespread ways of word formation are suffixation and prefixation. For most derivatives, the original word of production is a noun, because the names we have analyzed are Anglicisms and, in the source language, their morphological status may be syncretic, depending on a number of grammatical factors. But if the word already functioned in the Russian language, then the verb can be called the producer, because the semantics of procedurality is fixed in this grammatical class. The regularity of modification processes (in comparison with mutational ones) is explained by the following: the derivational and semantic mastery of words proceeds slowly, by insignificant changes in the lexical meaning. The overwhelming majority of neoderivatives carry a predicate characteristic: this indicates a close relationship between linguistic and extralinguistic reality. So, the active expansion of the word-building potential proves the mastery of this thematic layer of vocabulary by the Russian language and its significance in the life of modern society.
