Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of cultural information, which is laid down in the names of housing. Focusing on modern priorities, social values and cultural norms helps to see the cultural background behind its proper names. It has been found out that the specifics of naming houses are related to the attractiveness of the external features of the building, its functional and aesthetic characteristics, the properties of architectural forms, the presence of unusual details of the decoration. But despite all its external logic, the nomination of houses includes a semantic assessment of the architectural structure, historical context, style features, understanding of their symbolic meanings.
