Abstract:
This article investigates aphorisms in terms of intertexual derivations and intertextuality in particular. This paper reveals the essence of such concepts as „aphorism”, „intertext”, „intertextuality”, „intertextual derivation”. It also identifies the basic intertext markers. Intertextual derivation is interpreted as a result of secondary text formation, which can be explained by the architext, which retains its motivational role in the derivative structure of the secondary derivate text. Moreover it points at the fact that aphorisms being a result of intertextual derivation correspond to reality. They are characterized by various degrees of structural and semantic equivalence relation to the original text due to the author's manner to use certain subjective elements that differ a newly established text from its derivative basis. The paper represents author's strategy of building aphoristic units, which involves applying specific resources (e.g. other texts).
