dc.description.abstract “The Dictionary of Active Polish and Ukrainian Phraseology” [Leksykon aktywnej frazeologii polskiej i ukraińskiej] is the first publication in the history of Slavic lexicography presenting semantic equivalents of phrasal units in Polish and Ukrainian. Authors of the lexicon use a semantic interlanguage to establish equivalents of phraseological units, present phraseological culturemes, find phrasal units that lack equivalents, demonstrate the evolution of phrasemes in contemporary language. The paper gives an overview of the Leksykon’s methodology and lexicography rules. In this paper the authors provide a number of example entries from the dictionary and focus mainly on the attempts to describe phrasal units. en
