Abstract:
The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the objects of hatred in Polish and Russian journalistic texts. The model X ненавидит У with all its modifications remains in the centre of our interest. Y is understood here as the object of the subject’s negative emotional state. Journalistic texts discuss important public problems, and the range of the objects of negative emotions is wide and diverse, just to mention politics and politicians; war; all kinds of systems; interpersonal relations (family, work, schools); countries; cities; nations; fictional characters; well known people etc. It seems that there are no significant differences in the sphere of the objects of hatred between Polish and Russian journalistic texts.
