Abstract:
The article is devoted to the problem of active development of modern Slavic phraseology and the search
for the most adequate forms of its linguistic comparison. The authors, using the example of the Dictionary of
Active Polish and Ukrainian Phraseology, reveal the features and functionality of the semantic metalanguage
in contrastive phraseology, discuss the possibility of modernizing approaches to definitional models, various
stylistic labels and the formation of examples of the use of phrasemes in speech. The article also assesses the
prospects for the creation of such contrastive dictionaries with other Slavic languages, in particular, Bulgarian.
