Літературна ономастика в працях львівських учених-україністів

Abstract

The article analyzes the research of Lviv Ukrainian Philology scholars in the field of literary onomastics. As literary onomastics is a science that is on the border of linguistics and literary studies, it is quite obvious that the onym of a literary work has been the subject of analysis of both linguistics and literary studies. Ukrainian scholars are still debating whether literary onomastics is a subdiscipline of onomastics, a branch of stylistics or whether it is a component of poetry. Therefore, the article describes how linguists and literary critics analyzed the literary onyms, which algorithm they suggest for the study of proper names.
