Abstract:
The article deals with the comparative analysis of the means of verbalization and the structure of the conceptosphere JOY in the Ukrainian, Polish and English languages. The focus is made on the semantic peculiarities and specific features of the functioning of the lexemes радість, radość, joy in the Ukrainian, Polish and English languages. The article provides the theoretical foundations to studying emotion concepts. The brief overview of the most recent psychological theories of emotions and linguistic approaches to studying emotion concepts are presented.
