Abstract:
The article analyses Christian names and their variants that are creating stems of micro place names of Sambirs’kyi cyrkul. The data is selected from Josyphins’ka (1785 – 1788) and Francyskans’ka (1819 – 1820) metrycs. It is a diachronic microtoponimy of the end of the XVIII-th century and the beginning of the XIX-th century. Sambirs’kyi cyrkul is a historical territory that was situated on the area of modern Lviv’s region and partly occupied the lands of its ten districts. Many linguists studied onyms formed from anthroponyms. Names are one of the most important sources of creating of microtoponymy.
