Abstract:
The linguocultural approach to teaching Ukrainian to specialists of the agrarian sector is based on the acknowledgement of cultural concept as a fundamental unit of culture. Such an approach to teaching “Ukrainian for specific purposes” presupposes revising of mental and axiological components of agricultural activities reflected in the language as an ethnocultural phenomenon. Tilling labour, which lasts since the beginning of time, created its own presentational world, its own original understanding of the phenomena of surrounding reality. People who worked and work their own land have their own linguistic worldimage in their consciousness, which they hand down from generation to generation. The author represents the concept “land” as one of the expressive linguistic and aesthetic signs of national culture in the context of agricultural activities.
