Фахова лексика в художньо-публіцистичному тексті (на матеріалі роману Ліни Костенко "Записки українського самашедшого")

Abstract

Over the last few years Ukrainian professional lexis became an object of numerous researchers due to the intensive development of science, technology, state formation and strengthening of the Ukrainian literary language in all spheres of social, political and cultural life of the country. There are exist different view points on the term “professional lexis” in Ukrainian linguistics. Some scholars (A. Diakov, T. Kyiak, Kudelko) are of the opinion that there are reasons to equate specialized (professional) lexis with terminology, others (H. Matsyuk, T. Panko, L. Symonenko) – make a distinction between professional lexis and terminology. Professional lexis is a collection of all lexical naming in communicative-professional sphere. Professional lexis embraces sphere-specific terms of a certain branch, inter-branch general scientific terms, industry words and common lexis that have greater imagery and emotional marking. Professional lexis is widely used in non-professional texts: literary, publicistic, conversational, enriching and enlivening stylistic power of language. Professional lexical items, which were included into literary or publicistic texts, are used in figurative meaning and perform a totally different function. In the article professional lexis of various term systems have been examined: computer cybernetics (file, monitor, processor); biology (gemmation, vegetation, fermentation); medicine (pulse, diagnosis); military (camouflage, re-deployment); music (tonality, diapason); lexis used in the book “Notes of Ukrainian lunatic” by Lina Kostenko.
