dc.description.abstract	The article deals with meaning and scope of the notion “language image” in its correlation with notions “national language picture of the world” and “individual author's picture of the world”. The peculiarities of the linguistic interpretation of the term “language picture” are analyzed and its main definitions are given. Modern linguists explain this notion as the way of world’s mapping in human’s consciousness and its representations by language means or as the interpretation of reality in language. This term means also the complex of language units and means, which represent ethnic perception of the world.	en
