Abstract:
The research is devoted to the problem of functioning of complex poly-component sentences with various types of linking in Ivan Franko`s scientific speech. The author distinguishes the principal types of complex sentences, observes theirs usage frequency, separates models of analyzed constructions and its modifications in the text, determines the sense relations between predicative parts of structures on outside and inside types of linking, elucidates the arrangement of the principal part as to the subordinate parts in every model and its variant, defines the length and the depth of complex sentences, reveals the frequently used in Ivan Franko`s scientific speech. Also the author separates six models of complex poly-component sentences with various types of linking, characterizes the modifications of models in order to the length and the depth of complex sentences, observes theirs structural and semantic peculiarities and functioning in Franko`s scientific text. The length of complex sentences counts from three to ten components and the depth of constructions has two-three types of linking.
