Abstract:
The lexical-semantic group "dishes and cookware" in Upper Dnisterian dialects is analyzed in the article. These names of dishes and cookware form a number of lexical-semantic groups or paradigms. Besides the common words the learning group contains the specific dialectal forms. The author distinguishes several groups of nominations: 1) the words formed from the names of food; 2) the names derived from the nominations of the material; 3) the names derived from verbal stems. The names of the dishes and cookware in Upper Dnisterian dialects are characterized by a structural set of lexical-semantic groups and a system of hyperonimical correlations. The researching lexical-semantic group is also characterized by primarily developed interdialect homonyms and intra- and extradialect synonyms.
