Слова з компонентом КІБЕР- у сучасній українській мові

Abstract

In the last decades of the ХХ century the words with the component cyber- began to appear more often in the pages of periodicals.The component is a reduction of the word cybernetics. The word has a Greek origin (kybernetikein the meaning -art of management). It appeared in 30-40’s of the ХХ century, and in Ukraine –later. Today this term denotes the science about general rules of information management and transfer processes. Unfortunately not all modern dictionaries contain words with this component.The words with the component cyber-denote: abstract notions, notions of culture, sport, law and criminal cases, warfare, computer programs, somatic notions, toys and cartoon heroes, educational institutions, elements of clothes and shoes, details of cars and machinery, names of establishments and organizations, religious notions, persons etc. The majority of them are a part of terminological systems of different branches of knowledge. They are united by the meaning “appurtenance to computer technologies, internet”. Among the observed lexems the dictionaries of new words contain only some of them. The part of the words with cyber- doesn’t have a clear definition, that’s why they can be considered only the proterms. Some lexems with this component are used in the everyday speech. There is no unique approach towards the writing of these words. They can be written hyphen, together and separately. Let us compare: кіберблоки, кіберпростір, кіберпанк і кібер-мафія, кібер-окуляри,кібер-хакери, кібер-нелегали, кібер кафе, кібер афера.
