dc.description.abstract | The article deals with the spelling of the word обладатель (‘dominator, possessor’), an important component of the title of Russian Tsars (e. g. многихъ земель обладатель or отчичь и дѣдичь наслѣдникъ и обладатель, etc.). This word was written in the title in a special manner, namely with two letters a, as ОБЛААДАТЕЛЬ. It is demonstrated in the article that the form with double a reflects the sacralization of the Tsar and his title. | en |
