Abstract:
The paper discusses compound units whose first members are indeclinable. They include determiners which are, as a rule, of foreign origin, sometimes loanwords, and sometimes calques. We will treat the orthographic solutions, i.e. spelling these formations in Serbian. This matter also assumes a grammatical nature when we need to define whether these formations consist of one or two words. Serbian orthography provides solutions which prescribe the spelling of these formations with a hyphen, but also separately and/or together.
