dc.description.abstract Modem innovation in vocabulary and word formation of the Belarusian language are determined by a complex interaction of processes of the actual borrowing of vocabulary and the formation of new units within existing resources in the word-line trends towards internationalization and nationalization. Intensive borrowing of foreign language vocabulary, on the one hand, limits the realization of potential derivational capacity of the national language, but on the other hand, promotes the expansion of word-formation bases of language and the activization of its word-building resources. In this paper modern innovative trends in vocabulary and word formation of the Belarusian language are considered in the material of the derivational category nomina agentis, which occupies a central place in the derivation field of personality. The lexical structure of this category in the Belarusian language is now intensively replenished due to foreign language vocabulary, which is included in the system of modern motivational relationships and acquire the status of motivated, as well as to the derivation itself within the limits of the various methods of word formation and a variety of word-building means. The main trends of the development of the derivational category nomina agentis, which characterize the modern development of the nominative system of the Belarusian language, are as follows: the active involvement of foreign language vocabulary in word-formation process as a baseline; a significant increase in the productivity of some ways of word formation (eg, suffixation, prefixation, compounding, semantic derivation and etc.) and word-building means (such as suffixes -ер/-ар, -кт/-ыст, -ант, -0 etc.), development of formative synonymy and doublets, as well as increased competition of the word formation means and word formation types (eu6apmnuK - eu6apaq, eucmynaueq - eucmynoyqa - eucmynoeeq - eucmynanm, Mimumoee-q - Mimumaum); tendency to replace substantivised participles by suffixed nomina agentis (uanadarnnu - uanaduiK, uanadanhuiK, uanadoyqa), as well as the emergence of suffixed derivatives instead of word combinations (nadnicaum); tendency to formative marking of nomina agentis (6i3uecMeurnnbiK=6i3uecMeu); significant enhancement of prefixal derivation (d3MaKpam ^ ue-dsMaxpam); intensive formation of compounds and abbreviated nomina agentis (6i3uec-napmuep, rnumsum-Meuedwap) etc. In general, modern lexical innovation processes in the Belarusian language confirm: a) the leading role of derivation in the completion of the vocabulary of the language, and b) the expansion of word-formation bases and derivational possibilities of the language, and c) the ability of the Belarusian derivation to adapt the foreign language borrowings, including them to the system of motivation relationship. en_US
