This paper analyzes the process of initiating the existing and forming new imperative compounds in Serbian pre-Romantic poetry (Sarajlija, Njegoš, Koder, Radičevič, Jakšič, Zmaj, Kostič etc), as well as their style effects based on expressiveness and euphonia.
