Abstract:
Author looks at semantic derivational modification of Slavonic verbs from producer’s of speech point of view. Having in mind semantic modification of verb producer has in the long run not only this effect. The new verb obtaining desired semantic features also obtains new syntagmatic and paradigmatic features, which were not the producer’s aim.
These were well known syntagmatic limitations ( no combinations either with some verbs or some adverbs) and paradigmatic difference (two tenses instead of three) form the category of slavonic aspect. So thus the category of aspect is non semantic category. Its semantic content can be very different having only one feature ( «result» or «one-time» action ) or combination of two features ( adding to the previous ones «begining», «complementary», «repetition» and so on) for perfective verbs. And any features, apart from «result» and «one-time action» for imperfecive verbs.
