Abstract:
Quantification as a most significant human activity finds expression in the Russian word formation system by means of a number of derivational types which indicate, either explicitly or implicitly, various degrees of quantity which form in their complexity quantificational scales specific for different parts of speech and asymmetric in their positive and negative parts. The systemic value of a set of derivational types as expressions of quantity is dependent on their productivity and the place of meanings expressed on the quantificational scale.
