Diminutives and intensification. What is a verbal diminutive and what it is not? Word-formative motivative words of verbal diminutives - deverbative verbs (behat > bež-kat; spat > sp-inkat). Word-formative formant (hajat > haj-kat, haj-in- kat, haj-enkat, haj-uškat; robit > rob-kat > do-robkat; papat > na-papat sa, papat > pap-kat > na-papkat sa). The modification type of onomasiological category and diminutive words. Diminutives and expressivity (expression of irony). Diminutives and lexis orientated to children. Different lexicographical approach to the fixation of verbal diminutives in comparison with noun diminutives. Noun diminutives are ordered under the headword in monolingual dictionary. |
