dc.description.abstract | Substantive diminutives are formed in the Russian language by the suffixes that have a genetic basis as a determinative suffix *-k-. In the semantic aspect they may lose diminutive value and then again acquire secondary diminutive meaning through suffixal replication. With the assmilation of loan-words and understanding them as diminutives there may be situations of re-derivation. | en_US |
