dc.description.abstract	The report deals with innovations-diminutives in the modern Russian media texts. Diminutives are represented mainly by nouns and adverbs, have different affixes and a wide range of meanings: from diminutive-hypocoristic to derogatory. Speech activity of the Russian press tribe, stimulated by the new socio-political processes happening in the country, is becoming a manifestation of an elevated level of the emotional-volitional state of society.	en_US
