Abstract:
The paper describes the development of the modern Bulgarian academic lexicography. It focuses on the main achievements of the Bulgarian lexicography during 20. century, especially on the many-volume Dictionary of Bulgarian language which is an academic dictionary of national importance. It also outlines the innovative approaches in the modern Bulgarian lexicography and the goals of main priority that would prove quite useful for the national culture.
