Abstract:
The objective of this text is to relate the most important principles of the Bulgarian language dictionaries which are being compiled with our participation. These dictionaries (Contemporary Bulgarian-Polish Dictionary, Bulgarian-Polish Online Dictionary and Russian-Bulgarian-Polish Dictionary) are intended for these members of an audience who want to improve their knowledge of similarities and differences in the lexis of the Bulgarian language, but also Polish and Russian, as well as for those wishing to use correctly the Bulgarian, Polish and Russian verb forms and understand what they mean. We do not include archaic or dialectal lexis but try to introduce as many neologisms present in the lexical system of the languages we describe as possible. Apart from traditional morphological and syntactic classifiers, we introduce to entries new semantic classifiers which help to distinguish language forms from their meaning. These classifiers concern first of all the verb forms. We use a similar methodological principle in all the above mentioned works regarding dictionaries.
