K NIEKTORÝM KONCEPČNÝM OTÁZKAM SLOVNÍKA SLOVNÝCH SPOJENÍ SLOVENČINY. PRÍDAVNÉ MENÁ

Abstract

The paper is aimed at several conceptual questions on The Dictionary of Slovak Collocations. Adjectives. The Dictionary is uniquely structured; the structure of each entry is based on combinatorial potential (collocability) of the Slovak adjectives. Linguistic data obtained from the Slovak National Corpus, version prim-5.0 containing 719 million tokens, was a source of material used for creating the collocational profiles. The article also provides an overview of several editing difficulties and suggests solutions for the best selection of collocations. The paper attempts to find certain principles to differentiate the fixed collocations from the free word combinations.
