Abstract:
The problem of special lexis inclusion and representation in general dictionaries still remains open in contemporary lexicography. The article deals with one of the aspects of this problem – that is the difference between ‘consubstantial’ terms on one side and terms-homonyms on the other. Those differences are revealed through the examples taken from the general dictionaries of Belarusian language. It is also proposed how to represent consubstantial and homonymic special lexis in general explanatory dictionary.
