dc.description.abstract	The author made an attempt to reconstruct the semantic memory of the kiss in cognitive terms, by reaching prenotional structures, which constituted the basis for the conceptualization of the primary meaning, the etymology and the symbolism. These para-meters were applied in order to analyse the profiles of the kiss, which developed in new communicative situations. The purpose of the analysis was to present the most durable components of the meaning that are stored in the collective memory and which were used for profiling of new contents and inclusion of the kiss into the network of links with the remaining elements of the lexical system.	en_US
