The paper presents the word formation of the Slavic Bulgarian proper names that have place in the book Imenata na Bulgarite ot A do Ya (Proper names of the Bulgarians from A till Ya) which is written by N. Ivanova and P. Radeva. The semantics of this proper names is analyzed in the second part of the paper.
