Abstract:
The article studies lexical units taken from the Greek dialect of Stanimaka (today – Asenovgrad, Plovdiv region), published in 1861 in the Athenian magazine “Pandora”. The author of the publication is Vlasios Skordelis, a Greek born in Stanimaka. An intriguing moment is the presence of vocabulary of Bulgarian origin. Phonetic and morphological characteristics typical for the Bulgarian language are found in the glossary. The pointed data reveal a strong Bulgarian language influence on the Greek dialect spoken in Stanimaka.
