Abstract:
The article studies anthroponomical data of the towns of Haskovo and Moustafa Pasha (today - Svilengrad), dated 1878. The lists include the names of notables and the Bulgarian intellectuals in the two towns. The valuable data shows the language orientation of the Bulgarian population there at the time when some people manifest Greek way of life during the Bulgarian Revival. The article observes sphragistic material from the town of Moustafa Pasha (today - Svilengrad) and its presence demonstrates the local notables’ and intellectuals’ progressiveness.
