dc.description.abstract Univerbation as the result of the reduction of analytical name - word-combination or phrase - is appropriate to analyse in correlation with other ways of language compression, aiming at the creation of one-word name: composition, juxtaposition, abbreviation, clipping, substantivization, holophrasis (conflation). Supporters the narrow interpretation of univerbation consider that about its effects can speak only on the condition parallel functioning of analytical name (гумантарка - гумантарна допомога, мережевик - мережевий магазин). Yet the names of the same object or concept with different ways of language compression, creation of univerbs by analogy give the opportunities for the broader interpretation of univerbation as the expression of the law of language economy and the kind of compressive word-formation. For the analysis of univerbs to determine the plane of their consideration in time perspective is necessary. As univerbs in the synchronous word-formation consider derivates created by regular models of reduction the attribute and predicate combinations of words. We think that univerbs are simple (with one root) derivatives that function in parallel with analytic name, on which they were created (цифровик - цифровий фотоапарат, набирати номер телефону когось - набирати когось). We distinguish context-dependent and context-independent univerbs. en_US
