Abstract:
This paper discusses the close relation between syntax and word formation through syn- tagm. This relationship is recognized and determined by the motivation, structure and meaning of various constituent words. As it is usually the case with the modern word formation, the analysis is based on synchrony. However, since morphology has to do with the processes of word formation and their results, it is impossible to completely reject the diachronic approach.
