Abstract:
The object of our analysis are the texts in “Otsustvie“ (Absence), a collection of poems by Vladimir Popov, one of Bulgaria’s most gifted contemporary poets. The study deals with the lexical structure of the poetic text from a communicative and pragmatic perspective with a view to explicating the author’s specific artistic representation of the world. The aim of the study is to reveal the various ways in which the poet has activated his energy while creating the deep structure of the text.
