Abstract:
The paper studies the emotional phenomenon of hatred that to a large extent characterizes contemporary social relations. It attempts to elucidate the emotion’s original cause and the impact of its stimulating factors. The emotional nature of hatred is revealed and the scenario of its manifestation is traced. The focus of attention is the linguistic expression of hatred – through lexis and idiomatics. Its appraisal is also discussed.
