KREIRANJE NOVIH PRIČA KROZ MITOLOGIZACIJU ŽIVOTINJA U DJELIMA O. IRVANECA

Abstract

In his works, Oleksandr Irvanets uses images of the world already present in the minds of readers and successfully deals with a variety of symbols, knowledge and stereotypes that we have, especially regarding animals. Using stereotypical linguistic images of monster animals (novel „Ochamymrya“) and a beautiful animal („Liebenkraft’s disease“), Oleksandr Irvanets develops these images, upgrades them, adds a new meaning to them in the context of the created literary text’s realities and builds an entirely new and peculiar myth about his animals, generating an artistic image (fiction) and creating new stories that speak about these beings, their history of origin or disappearance.
