dc.description.abstract	The article deals with the description and analysis of phrasemes in Ukrainian which reproduce the mentality of its native speakers. The empirical material under study, collected by the author reaffirms the opinion that Ukrainian phrasemes are specific language formulas, world models with the encoded information about historical past, our ancestors, their way of world perception and assessment of everything around. They accumulate cultural potential of the people, manifest the spirit and originality of nation’s mentality.	en_US
