Abstract:
Despite of the increased interest in gender issues in phraseological studies, gender-marked idioms are still inadequately lexicographically processed in Croatian and Russian phraseological dictionaries. There is still no comprehensive system for integrating gender information in dictionary entries that would be consistently applied. Therefore this article shows the inadequacies in Croatian and Russian phraseography and proposes the way gender information could be introduced to Croatian phraseological dictionaries in order to inform dictionary user about gender restricted use of certain idioms.
