Abstract:
The article studies the lexis of Bulgarian derivation, included in the Contemporary dictionary of the Greek spoken language of the village of Savyak, Valovishta area (Greek – Βαμβακοφυτο, Serres region). The lexis analysis demonstrates the position of this dialect in the system of Western Roupian dialects as part of the South-eastern (Roupian) Bulgarian dialects. A number of the words can be found on Old-Bulgarian written records.
