Abstract:
The article deals with the treatment of interlingual equivalence in the Dictionary of Active Bulgarian and Polish Phraseology. The authors discuss a theoretical framework for the presentation of the interlingual equivalents in the Dictionary. Interlingual phraseological equivalents can be established on the basis of semantic and functional features and are generally categorized into four types: full equivalents, partial equivalents, phraseological analogs and zero equivalents. The authors illustrate the particular types of equivalence with examples from the Dictionary.
