Abstract:
The article discusses univerbation as a productive way of slang names of complex on Poklonnaya Hill and lead to it Kutuzovsky Prospekt formation .
If Poklonnaya Hill in the slang version is always Poklonka, Kutuzov Avenue is named differently, the three most common variant: Kutuza, Kutuzka, Kutuzovka. The first is found only in social networks, the second in networks and the official press. The third option, Kutuzovka, can be found either in fiction. Observation of conversational speech lead to the conclusion that this is the most common correlate of name. The considered lexical units differ in stylistic nuances and connotations, from neutral to conversational reduced. In addition, two of the three varant are homonyms: the kutuzka (bull-pen) is a “prison, prisoner detention”, and Kutuzovka is the name of 13 villages in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Homonymy universitv provides the opportunity for language play, but this opportunity is rarely used.
