Abstract:
Aprakos Gospel was the first book translated by the Sts Cyril and Methodius. Manuscripts of the aprakoses were found in different Slavic countries – Bulgaria (the Vatican Gospel 10th century, the Sava`s book, the Boyana palimpsest), Old Russia (the Ostromir Gospel 1056 – 1057, the Archangelsk Gospel 1093, the Turov Gospel 11th century, the Cyrillic part of the Reims Gospel). Though their synaxaria may differ, texts of these manuscripts were written in the Common Literary Slavonic language of the medieval Slavs, and they can serve as reliable sources for the description of its phraseological system.
