Research interests

  • The process of Jewish assimilation in Poland; methodology in Jewish Studies; the history of the term “assimilation” and its usage in the academic discourse.
  • Jewish periodicals published in Polish, Yiddish, and Hebrew in Galicia in the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th.   
  • Jewish communities in local history (in particular in Galicia).
  • Transcription and translation hebrew tombstones inscriptions.

Membership in scientific bodies

  • Since 2013 – member of Polskie Towarzystwo Studiów Żydowskich (the Polish Assosiation of Jewish Studies)
  • Since 2024 – member of the European Associacion for Jewish Studies

Scholarships

  • XI 2019 – XI 2021 – Narodowe Centrum Nauki (National Center of Science, Poland) – scholarship in the research project: “Mosaic Religion as a Subject of Teaching in Galicia: Teaching Programs, Books and Teachers”, supervised by dr Alicja Maślak-Maciejewska (Sonata 14, 2018/31/D/HS3/03604).
  • 2014/15 – Erasmus+ Graduate Program, Department of Jewish Studies, Faculty of History and Cultural Studies, the University of Vienna.
  • III – V 2013 – Graduate Research Fellowship in the History and Culture of Polish Jews, Tel Aviv University.
