Archiving

Books

Authors are permitted to post the publisher’s version of their work online (e.g. in institutional repositories or on their own website) only after it has been published by the Institute of Slavic Studies (verify the policy at Sherpa/Romeo).

Copies of monographs and multi-author volumes published by the Institute are made available in pdf format in the iReteslaw repository (collection: Publications of the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences), the Digital Repository of the National Library [Repozytorium Cyfrowe Biblioteki Narodowej] and, gradually, the Central and Eastern European Online Library and other databases.

Pursuant to the Law of 7 November 1996 on legal deposit [Ustawa z dnia 7 listopada 1996 r. o obowiązkowych egzemplarzach bibliotecznych], the Institute of Slavic Studies deposits copies of all books published in print with legal deposit libraries in Poland, including the National Library in Warsaw and the Jagiellonian Library in Cracow. Copies of books published in print are also kept at the Institute Library and the Institute Archives (along with publishing documentation).

Journals

Information about issues concerning archivisation of journal articles is available on each journal’s “About the Journal” page on the Institute’s ISS PAS Journals website.
